BIG big chalkboard. It's 4' 3" wide by 6' 3" tall. Dates to the late 1940's. It's enamel over thin steel and is super heavy! A great piece that could of course be wall-mounted horizontally as well as leaned up against the wall vertically as shown here. There is one chip in the finish but it adds to the distressed charm.
Since moving to New York 15 years ago I have been finding and selling vintage furniture and housewares. Severely Vintage recycles, restores, repairs and sometimes re-works 2nd hand pieces to put good design and fun objects in the homes of folks in all 5 boroughs. Ads for furniture can be found on craigslist and of course images of items for sale are here on the blog. You can drop me a line at email@example.com if you are interested in a particular piece. Thanks for visiting the site and have a severely great day!
